Turning Points: Walking in Step with the Spirit at WatsNaz
Life is full of turning points. Some of them come unexpectedly — like a health crisis, a job loss, or a sudden move. Others come as blessings that stretch us — a new opportunity at work, the birth of a child, or stepping into leadership. No matter what form these turning points take, one thing is always true: they require wisdom that goes beyond our own abilities.
At Watsonville Church of the Nazarene (also known as WatsNaz), we recently explored this theme in our message Turning Points, Part 3: Walking in Step with the Spirit. Drawing from Galatians 5:25 and Philippians 1:6, we discovered that times of growth and new responsibility are invitations to rely on God’s Spirit for wisdom and strength.
Paul writes, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” This isn’t casual advice — it’s a call to live with intentionality, trusting God to set the pace and direction of our lives. And in Philippians, Paul reminds us that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” God doesn’t abandon us at the starting line. He walks with us every step and promises to finish the work He began.
