Advent Week 2: Finding Peace in God’s Faithfulness
During the second week of Advent, we turn our hearts toward peace—not the kind the world tries to manufacture, but the peace that comes from trusting in the faithfulness of God.
In this week’s sermon, Pastor Ryan takes us to Exodus 2:1–10, the story of Moses’ birth and his dramatic rescue from Pharaoh’s deadly decree. Moses’ parents reached a point where their strength ran out—they could no longer protect their child on their own. So they entrusted him fully into God’s hands. And God moved in ways they never could have imagined.
This powerful moment of surrender becomes a picture for us today. Moses’ deliverance foreshadows the coming of Jesus, our true Deliverer, who rescues us not from Pharaoh, but from sin, fear, and the pressure to hold everything together on our own. Advent reminds us that peace comes not from striving, but from resting in God’s faithfulness.
In a season full of hurry and noise, God invites us to let go of what we cannot control and place our trust in the One who holds all things.
We invite you to watch the full sermon below, reflect on the message, and consider how God is calling you to rest in His faithfulness this Advent season.
